proudWORDS
The proudWORDS festival of lesbian and gay writing ran on Tyneside for about five years up to 2006, when it folded. The associated web site closed on 1 May 2008.
Looking back, we were pleased to be associated with the festival. Many voluntary organisations seem to have a natural life span, and rather than regret proudWORDS' passing we should perhaps look back and remember its many achievements.
